The Chenille Ribbon has finally arrived!!! Chenille Hair Bows!

YEAH!! My Chenille Ribbon has FINALLY ARRIVED! Sorry for typing in all caps - but I am really excited!!

While at market a few weeks ago, my friend and buyer Lynne found this awesome new ribbon that we had NEVER seen before. We saw it at just a few vendors but knew that I could incorporate it into some really cool hair accessories!

I have created 3 new products so far - Chenille Hair Clips, Chenille Baby Hair Bows, and Chenille Hair Bows.

I am so excited and just can't stop touching the ribbon! It is soooo soft!

Next I will showcase the Chenille Headbands - still working on the size and if it will be plastic or strechy... it will be an awesome look for fall - even for us moms!

Maybe I can get one of the Gossip Girls to wear one?

I can dream! LOL!

Glitter Headbands - For girls, tweens and even me - a Mom!

I am soooo excited about this new line of "GLITTER" products!! Even I am wearing these!! The first thing I made with this awesome ribbon is a headband! This headband is of plastic and I carefully wrap the glitter ribbon around it and then seal it with grosgrain ribbon underneath. I have seen a lot of glitter headbands and the Gap and Gymboree - but these are different - I made them - not someone in another country! Me, right here in Georgia!!

I have lots and lots of colors to choose from!

My next task is to create a bow and then stretchy headbands!

NEW Halloween Hair Bow Designs and NEW Sunflower Clip

Today I have also been creating some new designs for Fall & Halloween!  I LOVE sunflowers - and while they are just not fall - they are all year round...

The sequin pumpkins are my favorite!  I debated if I should back them in grosgrain black or velvet black....  so far the black grosgrain has won me over....

Any thoughts out there?

Bigger and Better Color Charts for the Website

Recently a great customer told me that my color chart was hard to read on the website.  I totally agreed with her but wasn't sure how to resolve the problem!  I consider myself pretty computer literate  - especially since have created several website by myself (www.mybowdaciousdesigns.com included).  But I knew there were limitations.

So I came up with the idea of having the color chart be a "product".  It was the perfect solution!  This way you can look at the charts as big as you would like!  Browse each page, etc.  Now I saw perfect solution - it is no perfect - but it is way better than it was before!

Today was a VERY busy day!  Market time!  This was my very first time to Market.  I had no idea what to expect  - and boy did we find some great new stuff!!  

Here I have posted an awesome find by my super buyer Lynne - this beautiful vintage looking rose petal ribbon - I have posted 2 pictures above of this beautiful cream color palette  - so beautiful I have have my husband take a picture of me in it  - just amazing!!  (yes, that's me!)

NEW - Monogram Button Adjustable Toggle Headband

The newest product to hit My Bowdacious Designs  is the Monogram Button, Adjustable, Toggle Headband. - starting at $6.99

When I think of a new item or product - it can take me anywhere from 1 hour to still thinking about it now for 2 years - before it makes its way to the website.  The toggle headband took about 2 months.....

I am not the first designer to create this cute hair accesory, nor will I be the last to try and re-create it.

You see, I LOVE the monogram button!  (don't worry - I won't rave on too much here - that is for another post).  The monogram button is awesome because you can utilize it on so many different accessories for your or your child!  Clip it on a bow, a ponytail holder, a shoe, a flower - now a headband - that's adjustable!  I am all about several uses for one product!!  Anyone remember my Southern Living at Home days??

Anyways, the headband is awesome - it adjusts with the very "now" toggle button.  The one I have chosen to use is a bean shape in black or white.  It is very similar to the toggles used for drawstrings on bags, shoes, etc.  I use about a yard of ribbon and fit it through the 2 tiny holes and the toggle rests at the back of the head underneath the hair.  At first I was worried about catching  hair in the toggle - but so far so good!

I took this picture of Ashlyn today.  She wasn't very happy about it - she wanted a snack and for me to color with her :-).  I promised the snack would be dinner instead - mac n cheese and a side of broccoli (on 2 different plates - they can't be touching) and I would color with her afterwards.  Got a few great shots and then - dinner was great and I did a great job coloring - she told me so.

Now it is off to sleep and get ready for another day of summer, swim lessons and bow making!
